The Moganshan Branch of the Children's Hospital Zhejiang University School of Medicine is situated in Deqing Intelligent Eco-City, Deqing County, Zhejiang Province, covering a planned area of 215 mu and featuring a total construction area of 285,000 square meters (with an underground section spanning 100,000 square meters). As one of the primary facilities within this network, it will oversee operations for both the National Clinical Medical Research Center and the National Children's Regional Medical Center while adopting a "Small General Hospitals with Focus on Specialties (hospital within a hospital)" model that includes 1,000 beds. Its functions encompass medical treatment (emergency services, outpatient care, medical technology applications), education and research activities as well as administrative logistics and support facilities. The Moganshan Branch of the Children's Hospital Zhejiang University School of Medicine will leverage the integrated advantages and brand effect of the Children's Hospital Zhejiang University School of Medicine to build itself into a high-level national children's medical center that integrates medical treatment, teaching, and research in line with international standards. Taking advantage of the geographical location of Huzhou City in Zhejiang province, it will serve as a model of high-quality children's health services, a talent cultivation base, and a scientific research and innovation highland covering the Yangtze River Delta, East China, and even radiating across the country. It is a significant livelihood project and a "national benchmark". There are more than 20,000 project information points, and the optical fiber access amounts to more than 3,000 cores.

With Huzhou's advantageous location serving as leverage, it seeks to become an exemplary model for quality children's health services—a base for talent development—and an innovation hub encompassing scientific research across East China and throughout China; thus representing both a critical livelihood project and establishing itself as “a national benchmark".
